Boundary Retracement Surveys with Stonex GNSS & Software

In this training, we will show how to use Stonex GNSS receivers and Cube-a field software to complete a boundary retracement survey for flagging, tagging, and staking property corners and boundaries.

Steps covered:

1. Drawing the plat in Cube-a using bearings and distances

2. Localizing to the plat data for simple jobs

3. Staking out the calculated points

There are a few different ways and workflows you can follow for example step 1, if you draw plats in the office, you can import the drawing and corners into Cube-a and avoid drawing the plat in Cube-a software.  Instead of localizing your WGS84 coordinates to the Northing and Easting values of your calculated points, you can record the position of the first (2) corners found, and then rotate and shift all of your points to your (2) known points.  This will rotate and shift your drawing points to the state plane coordinates you recorded.
